With a slight twist on epistolary romance, Samantha Young has given us a unique romance between a astronaut and an event planner.
Hallie and Chris both come very dysfunctional families that have deeply affected how they interact with the world, and with relationships. As they learn to put their own selves first, and what’s truly important, they open themselves to each other.
Chris is a protective swoon worthy hero, but is still very human and blinded by what he hoped to be true over what was actually true. Especially as it related to his relationship with his father.
This was a bit of a slow burn, but it definitely picked up half way through the book. Once that spark was lit between Chris and Hallie, there is no denying their chemistry.
