This trip back to Vermont was exactly what I needed!
Sarina Bowen’s True North series has been a favorite of mine, including all the spin offs. I was so intrigued when we learned that Matteo was going to be the hero in this book.
This book has a good balance of flashbacks to when Leila and Matteo were young, it really set the stage on how they interacted, while letting the reader know enough about how they felt for each other. Most of the book does take place in the current time.
Matteo and Leila have chemistry in spades. And I love that they are able to fall back into their friendship as well.
There are definitely some heartbreaking moments in this book, and moments I could not contain my laughter.
It was an absolute treat to spend time with the Rossi family, to see some of our favorite characters further into their HEAs.
This book has so much heart, and Matteo is definitely one of my favorite heroes recently. He is just so gone for Leila, and I love it.
