This book gave me a perma-smile. Trevor and Rose's love for one another is so sweet. Rose is one of the stronger heroines we've seen from Nora Everly, and Trevor is just swoon-worthy. I loved this happily ever after.
Everly is great at creating adorable, hilarious, precocious, scene-stealing children. They seem to be a hallmark of her work. In 'Heart Words,' readers can't help but fall in love with Mikey and Maddie. Rosalie never stood a chance.
Meddling family members are another recurring element in Everly's work. Rose's family is hilarious, and ultra close-knit.
"'Mom, you are seriously in my personal space. I am in the freaking bathtub! I called out. 'Rosalie, you came out of my personal space. I'm just here because I love you, sweetheart.'"
The external conflict appeared to clear up a bit too easily for me mid-book with some events that felt a bit unrealistic, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this story. The last few pages had me in tears.
This is my favorite Nora Everly book to date.
