His Royal Highness

'His Royal Highness' is a full-length standalone romantic comedy from USA TODAY bestselling author R.S. Grey.

🌟Cassie’s Review 🌟

This was such a wonderful premise! And the title fits in so well to the story. RS Grey’s books are always hilarious and The AMC, Whittney was no exception. She was unapologetically herself, and it was amazing. It’s what we should all strive for.

At the beginning of this book, I was fully prepared to hate Derek, but he fully redeemed himself.

I would consider this book a slow burn, age gap, romantic comedy. And 100% unique!

🌟Ashley’s Review🌟

"To love is to settle, to feel calmed by a lover’s embrace. It’s why people often define home as a person, not a place."

This book makes me want to squeal in delight. I loved it! It was funny, sweet, and charming. The premise for the story was original and, well . . . delightful. (I've read more than 100 romance novels this year, and this was the very first one set in a fairy-tale theme park.)

The plot played out like a movie in my mind, and it was so easy to picture Whitney and Derek in character in the theme park. I loved the other characters Grey created as well. I felt there was great banter, and I thoroughly enjoyed the interactions between the main characters, their friends, and their family.

I also really enjoyed the behind-the-scenes glimpse into a world-renown theme park. I'm not sure how much was purely fictitious and how much was the result of Grey's research, but it was all pretty believable to me.

🌟Extra Tidbits🌟

Have you visited the happiest place on earth? World or Land? Cassie - I’ve been to World once, and looking forward to visiting again soon! Ashley - I’ve been to World three times (Cassie’s super jealous)

🌟Blurb🌟

I’ve spent eight years wishing I’d fall out of love with Derek Knightley. Blowing out birthday candles, chasing after shooting stars, making it rain spare change into mall fountains—every time it’s the same wish: forget about Derek.

But the day he walks back into my life, I realize there are two things time has yet to soften: my feelings for him and his chiseled jawline.

It’s infuriating that my heart still races when he walks into a room. I refuse to fall prey to old unrequited love, so I decide the less I’m around him, the better. Avoidance is key.

Unfortunately, Derek isn’t going to make it easy. As a teenager, I would have crawled on my hands and knees to attract his attention. Now I can’t seem to escape it.

I’m not sure why he’s bothering. He’s not just out of my league—he’s out of my tax bracket. As the sole heir to the Knightley Company, he’s as close to American royalty as you can get. As for me, I’m just a part-time princess at Knightley’s flagship magical theme park.

I spend my days playing make-believe, but Derek has no use for fairytales. His unwavering confidence makes it clear he thinks I’ll surrender in the end.

He’s just biding his time. Making me sweat.

His Royal Highness always gets what he wants. And he wants me.
