In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren

🎄Cassie’s Review🎄

This book was a unique rom-com! It has a Groundhog Day/Russian Doll vibe to it, which I did not expect!

Andrew and Mae have such a wonderful friends to lovers romance. Andrew is a fantastic book hero. their romance does not feel forced at all.

"Loving you is all the proof I needed that love can last decades. Maybe even a lifetime, who knows."

The entire family dynamics of these older 4 college friends was absolutely fantastic. Mae's journey through the same days over and over, not only helped her 'correct' how certain things happen, but really created a way for her to find her true self. To help her go after the things she loves, including her career.

This is a completely fresh new take on a Christmas themed romance, and I'm totally here for it!

"Listen up," she says, "because I'm going to tell you a secret not everyone knows: Everything is going to be okay. I mean it. I realize everyone around you being messy might make you feel like you can't ever be, bu that isn't true. I'ts okay to be messy sometimes, honey."

🎄Ashley’s Review🎄

While this book is probably too steamy to compare it to a Hallmark Christmas movie, ‘In A Holidaze’ has just the right amount of that same holiday magic that holds audiences captive every October-January.

This story started out a bit slowly for me. By 45%, I was still unsure whether it was a romance novel or not, but then I turned the page and things started getting really good. I found myself staying up way past my bedtime because I was hooked. I needed to know how it ended.

This book is full of some of the best holiday traditions: snowball fights, tree hunting, decking the halls, family meals, and game nights. Mixed in is a friends-to-lovers romance that is worth the wait.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…but not for Maelyn Jones. She’s living with her parents, hates her going-nowhere job, and has just made a romantic error of epic proportions.

But perhaps worst of all, this is the last Christmas Mae will be at her favorite place in the world—the snowy Utah cabin where she and her family have spent every holiday since she was born, along with two other beloved families. Mentally melting down as she drives away from the cabin for the final time, Mae throws out what she thinks is a simple plea to the universe:Please. Show me what will make me happy.

The next thing she knows, tires screech and metal collides, everything goes black. But when Mae gasps awake…she’s on an airplane bound for Utah, where she begins the same holiday all over again. With one hilarious disaster after another sending her back to the plane, Mae must figure out how to break free of the strange time loop—and finally get her true love under the mistletoe.

Jam-packed with yuletide cheer, an unforgettable cast of characters, and Christina Lauren’s trademark “downright hilarious” (Helen Hoang, author ofThe Bride Test) hijinks, this swoon-worthy romantic read will make you believe in the power of wishes and the magic of the holidays.
