Lies and Lullabies

🎸NEW RELEASE🎸

Lies and Lullabies by Sarina Bowen

Cassie’s Review - Ebook

I really enjoyed this friends to lovers, secret identity, second chance, rockstar, secret baby romance. Whew! You might think that having all those tropes in one book would scream ANGST, fear not! This book was low angst, and honestly it just made me love the characters that much more. They acted like mature adults, which was a refreshing delight!

The Hush Note series, is an interconnected standalone, following three band mates, written by 3 different authors. Sarina's is the first book in the series, and I would definitely suggested reading all three in order, as this book sets up quite a bit of the back story, and their side characters.

Ashley’s Review - Audiobook

Rock star romance is often known for its high levels of angst and drama. I found that wasn't the case with Lies & Lullabies, book one in the Hush Note series. For a second-chance, secret baby romance, I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of unnecessary drama. Kira and Jonas have enough trauma in their pasts, its nice that they aren't wittingly causing more trouble for each other.

I enjoyed this story, but the ending seemed a bit sudden to me. I wasn't tracking how much time was left in the book and was surprised when the epilogue started. That said, it's the same high-quality story fans have come to expect from author Sarina Bowen.

My enjoyment of Lies & Lullabies was definitely enhanced be the narration. This is the first audiobook I've listened to where the narrator (Tim Paige) sang to me. I thought I might take a page out of a historical romance and swoon. I'm eager to see how audiobooks continue to evolve.

🎸BLURB and LINKS🎸

Summer nights and star-crossed lovers! From USA Today bestselling author Sarina Bowen.

Once upon a time, he gave me a summer of friendship, followed by one perfect night. We shared a lot during our short time together. But he skipped a few crucial details.

I didn’t know he was a rock star.

I didn’t know his real name.

Neither of us knew I’d get pregnant.

And I sure never expected to see him again.

Five years later, his tour bus pulls up in Nest Lake, Maine. My little world is about to be shattered by loud music and the pounding of my own foolish heart.
