I have been waiting for Jack and Emery's book since the first book in the series! I'm a sucker for an antihero redeeming themselves, and all the right ways. And Jack did this perfectly, his redemption was so much work for him, but by doing so you had trust in the character.
We have had the pleasure of getting to know Emery in the first three books, and you just knew there was something about her, something special. She is living my dream, owning her own coffee and book shop. Any book lover's dream. Though Emery is shy and introverted, she is fierce in protecting her principals and what she believes in. This is a 9 year in the making love story, and loved every second of it.

This is a standalone, but I would definitely recommend you read the first three books in the series, there's so much history that wraps around Jack and Emery, that you wouldn't see their whole lover story unless you read them all. Plus it's a fantastic series!
